Become a Welcome Family!

If you’d like to make the world a little better and enrich your family all at the same time, consider being a Welcome Family to a high school exchange student! This short-term commitment helps bring an international teen to your community to start school while we search for a permanent host family.

Here's how it works:

• Welcome families host for 4-8 weeks
• The exchange student lives as a member of your family (not a guest or boarder), participates in family life, and attends the local high school
• Students come with medical insurance and spending money to cover personal expenses like school fees, phone, clothing, etc.
• Host families provide room & board and loving parental guidance (and are eligible for a tax deduction)
• A Local Coordinator will provide support and assistance to you and your student throughout the hosting experience
• In most cases, you select the student you want to host.
